HELP ! I have a 1990 300 bayou, it has been giving me fits for a while now. WHen I try to crank it, it gets a late spark. ( when I take out the spark plug and hold it against the cyl. head and turn it over with the starter it only sparks when i let off of the starter button.) Can any one help me out ? also, the battery keeps draining while it sits for a couple of days. I replaced the regulator. pleaseeeee help me out on this.

I know this isn't any help, but we seem to be having the same problem. We have replaced the starter selinoid and the relay. didn't help.

 

[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img] I borrowed a cdi off of a friends 300 bayou and it fixed the late spark, but the battery still drains while sitting. also now I have to replace the clutches.... anyone know of a cheap place to buy them or fix the ones in it?
