On the right side of the engine under the oil add cap and right beside the oil filter cover is a cover that has a screw and a nut over it. Well i got stupid never changed the oil in a ATV or worked on one...my fault.
I started to unscrew it and decided to use channel locks. well after i figured out that was not the oil plug i screwed it in far as she wold go due to messing up the threads and the nut would not go back on. now the ATV goes freaking slow at all gears. it has something to do with the gear shifting and speed thing. did i mess it up to the point where it can not be fixed?
what is that screw called and what do i have to do to fix it so i can buy a new screw.
also i have a new battery on her but i have no lights or power at all but i ca pull start her all day and ride it. is there a bad wire or something. The head lights will noteven come on when i am riding it.

Check the fuse under the seat.
That clutch screw is actually the clutch adjuster. Its a bit of a pain in the rear to get working right again. I think its something like, "screw it out until you feel resistence, then in until you feel resistence, then back a 1/4 turn and lock the nut". I can't remember exactly, but it works something like that. You have to just play around with it until it works right.

I had the same problem with my 220 with the battery as far as no starter or any lights. Found the two electrical pins for the fuse on top of the starter relay to be spread and causing a poor contact. I took the terminals out and corrected the gap for the fuse to fit tight. The starter relay went bad a week later ( corrosion inside the relay ). The dealer wanted $80 for the relay and I was not foing to pay that much for it. I got a starter relay for a lawn mower and rewired everything off the battery. I have not a a bit of trouble since.
