Default ITP Holeshot ATR VS. ITP Terracross R/T

I'm looking to upgrade my tires and can't decide which to turn to. If anyhone has either set of tires some feedback would be great!! I do some mud, sand, and every year i go to West Virginia and run the HM Trails. So i guess i'm looking for the most durable all around tire!! Thanks!!

Based on lots of forum talk and my own expirience, the Maxxis Bighorns seem to be one of the most durable all around tires. I wouldn't expect awesome performance in the mud. Much better than the stockers though. They seem to be pretty popular amongst BF owners in particular as well. Probably due to the radial construction giving the BF a much needed improvement in the handling department.

We have had the ATR radials on a Prairie 700 and a Grizzly 660, and have Terracross radials on a Grizzly 700. The ATRs have better ride quality, and seem to grip just a tiny little bit better. The front tires bite better in turns, but also have less tendancy to grab the side of ruts and tree roots that pull the ATV off course. The rear tires also have slitely better grip than the Terracross tires do. The Terracross tires are better at powersliding than the ATRs though, and in fact, they are the best powersliding utilty ATV tires I've ever owned. Both tires seem to wear at about the same rate, but the ATRs are more prone to get a flat than the Terracross tires have been. We have a thousand miles on the Terracross tires now, with no flats. We ride in the Rocky Mountains (emphasis on the word Rocky). Neither tire is all that great in mud, not that we get a whole lot of mud out here.

I think a better tire is the XTR radial, which we have on another Grizzly 700. We also have Bighorns on our Rhino, and they are also better tires than either the ATR or Terracross.

I've had both on my BF750. I prefered the Terra-cross over the ATR's, the T/C's grip better. Mud neither is the winner but I don't do much mud anyway.
Now I am using the Bighorn, this IS the tire I was needing, it out does both the ATR's & T/C's, no contest..
