KFX 400

Default KFX 400

I have a 2005 KFX 400 and at a high rpm it wants to spit & sputter,,,Is there a Rev. Limiter on these quads and if so where is it located and how much would it cost to over ride it,,,Thanks

You probably are hitting the rev limit. You can buy an new CDI that will help. They have them on ebay all the time for around 100 bucks and up.

Just search both kfx 400 and ltz400.

Thanks,,,,maybe i`ll turn the throttle screw in untill it doesnt hit the rev.limiter while i find a new CDI box for it,,,thanks again

I have a new cdi on mine and it was a huge improvment. Rev box and electronic ignition, all great parts. My bike revs alot higher now the difference is very noticable. Its a great addon if you like to ride extra hard.
