Default Which should come first..tires or CDI

I have a 06 brute SRA. I am looking to do some upgrades because I hate the stock tires and love to ride on 2 wheels. My question is if I get 26" tires how will it affect the quad? Will the bigger tires rob enough power to notice a difference? Will a CDI fix the problem?

I Just got 26" mudlite XTRs, and noticed very little loss in power. Infact, due to the traction, I found it easier to pick up the front end. This is on a 650i. I would get tires, then almond secondary spring, then finally a cdi

Thanks, BlueLightSpecial. Can you give me some more info on the Almond secondary spring? I'm not familiar this modification.

Sure. You can greatly improve acceleration on a CVT type quad by changing springs on the pulleys. The secondary clutch is the pulley closest to the rear of the quad. Its job is to give you your infinite gear ratios by changing the diameter of the pulley. By replacing the stock spring with a stronger aftermarket one, allows the belt to grip the pulley tighter, and give you more torque. The only drawback is that you lose a little bit of top end, but you will only lose a few mph, if you use the almond spring. The stronger the spring, the more torque and less mph. The almond is a happy medium. Using this spring also gives you longer cvt belt life. The springs only cost $20, and can be bought fromTextThey also sell the primary puller, which is a necessity. you cant pull the primaryclutch without it, and you have to pull the primary to get the secondary off, or to change the belt if need be. Clutch mods are one of the best bang for the buck mods, especcially for the low price!!

Thanks for the input. Is this mod easy enough to do yourself, or should you have it done?

I did mine in the bed of my truck. Easy IMO.
