Default Leaking seals on rear axle '03 P650

Both of my seals on my rear axle were leaking fluid. Tore it apart and got new parts but now that I am looking at putting it back together and at the service manual it says that if you have to replace them on the RH side then you need to replace the cover. The bearing is pressed into the cover and I don't see any way to get the inner seal past it w/o bending it. Anyone have any ideas on this or done it before?

I was told that the right hand seal was not available as just the seal, since as you said there is a bearing cast into the cover. I had to break down and buy the cover with everything in it, which cost $95. I really think that it is the only was to get the right hand seal fixed, and that the part you have would likely not fit even if you got the seal out. It sucks but you probably just have to pony up like I did. Sorry for the bad news, but the good news is that once you get that part, it is only about 15 minutes to change the cover.

Thanks Crankdog. That is what I was afraid of. I bought the pieces seperate and the outer seal went in no issue but the inner won't due to the bearing. I hope they don't blow out again anytime soon but I guess that is what mudding does.
