Does anyone know If any big bore kits are still available for the T3. The engine is totaly different that the T4. I am going to pick up a Mojave minus motor tomarrow and I am looking for a project KXF 250. It just won't be as high tech as the Team Green one, but the plus side is the T3 motor is it is counterbalanced.

 

i never saw a counterballanced tecate 3 engine. that was the t4

 

Well how come the T3 frames held up and every one says when you put a KX250 in a quad it cracks the frame.

As for the Tecate-3 question about counterbalancers, NO tecate-3 engine had them. hehe. The reason that the uncounterbalanced motors crack the T4 frames are because they were designed to cradle an engine that dosnt vibrate so much. As for bore kits, I wanted to do one with mine, but, finding the sleeve for it isnt the problem, its finding the darn discontinued pistons >

kx motors arent counterbalanced thats why they crack frames

 

are tecate 4 motors counterbalanced? i am looking to buy a cheap one, what are some things to look for on a used one ('87) all the guy says it needs is a flywheel
