How is the Mojave against other atv's?
I am wondering how the Mojave compares against the yamaha warrior, 300ex, and 400ex. I know it has liquid cooling, 11.1 cr, DOHC with 4 valves per cylinder and other things, but does this make it considerably faster than any of the atvs listed? Also, do you think it would keep up with a 400ex with a full Biggun exhaust if I put an exhaust and mild cams in the Mojave? Thanks.

Bump, I know somebody has an opinion on this.

The Mojave should be right in the mix with the Warriors and 300EX's of the world. Depending on the trails and rider ability, you should be OK to hang with the 400EX too. You have to remember that you will have a power deficit to the bigger quads so if your buddies ride all out you will struggle to keep up. At reasonable speeds not so much. The Mojave has a good engine, and there is power to be had out of it, just don't expect to be taking a piped 400 in a drag or anything.

If you put a BIG carb on it,,, and do a full porting job,,, and a nice exhaust,,, and a nice set of cams...... You MIGHT be able to keep up with a stock 400 if you and your mojave are 100-150lbs less than the 400 and its rider.

Thanks for the responses. I am picking up my Mojave on Wednesday and I have friends who have a 400ex and a warrior so I was just curious. The warrior is stock but it hangs with the 400ex withought a problem so if it can do that, the mojave should be able to also without too many modifications. I am hoping to spend no more than $500 on upgrades.

your warrior(if stock) has less power then the mojave.
