What shape is that sprocket in? Is this a new bike? Something is surely loose if you hear a popping sound out of the chain. Have you checked your rear axle bearings? Put the bike in gear and rock it back and forth from the grab-bar while watching the chain. Look down the chain from the rear and make sure the sprocket is aligned properly. If you have adjusted it lately you may have it out of alignment with the chain.
Next, get the rear tires off the ground with a jack or hoist then see if you can move the axle back and forth by wiggling the rear tire.

I can't believe the bearings would go out already. Have you adjusted the chain at all or checked the chain alignment? It being one month old I'd have the dealer look at it. It's still there baby.
