04 prarie 700 belt light

Default 04 prarie 700 belt light

hello every one! hope every one is well. I need help resetting the belt light on a 04 prarie700. belt has been replaced, but now I need to finish up with the belt light. any info would be greatly appreciated!not much riding going on here in eastern S Dakota prettymuch still frozen tundra!30degrees below zero today with windchill! thanks for your help!

Default 04 prarie 700 belt light

I,m guessing it is the same on my Kfx700. Under your seat there are 2 plug connectors, one is grey one is black. Turn the key on and confirm that the belt light is on. Turn off the ignition and unplug the grey and black 4 prong plugs. Plug the grey into the black and the black into the grey. Turn on the ignition and the belt light should be flashing. Let it flash for 30 seconds or so and turn off ignition. Plug the 4 prong connectors back to their respective colors and turn on ignition to see if belt light is off. If this is not correct then you can check on kawieriders.com and search for the answer in those forums. I'm guessing it should be the same though. Default 04 prarie 700 belt light

the plugs are under your shifter. also unplug the little black 2 prong one too for this procedure. The rest of the directions is correct if your belt switch is in the right.
