brute force crank case chatter

Default brute force crank case chatter

Does anyone else with a brute force get crank case chatter sound or do I have big problems?

Need more info to help you better. But based on what you provided, here you go:
If light chattering sound is coming from the right side CVT area, it's just the drive converter is kissing the windage plate.
If the chatter (should be more like deeper knocking sound if it is what I am thinking) is from the left side or the middle, yes unfortunately, it can be a crank issue.

bump

I have rebuilt 2 of these machines as of now, plain bearing rods them spin then pile up. The other bad part is the if the case plain bearing is shot then you have to get new cases cause they don't offer that bearing sperate.

if I pull the cvt case will I see some signs of wear of donds more like the right side of the motor at idle.
