Mayby mine is different but I dont see a way to grab the white tube to pull it out.. It looks like it is all one piece built into the neck that goes down to the tank. If that does come up it would make it much easier for fuelling from a full gas can without a funel.

It will come out, it just takes a little pressure the first time, use both your hands with two fingers each on the inside of the white tube, apply pressure towards the filler neck & the white tube will pop & then pull it out. You have to place your fingers inside the White Tube to apply the pressure.
You Need to remember this, DO NOT fill into the Neck of the of the fuel Tank or you will get blow out of Fresh gas from under the handlebars on riding.
The White Tube is a anti-splash device, just happens it is longer on the Brute models and hinders fill-ups.
I wouldn't even Shorten this tube, leave it as is, just pop it back in after a refill, it only goes in one way, pops right back in.
After u pop it out that 1st time, it comes out easy with just using one hand.

how much of that sea foam stuff should you use at once? I will be getting my Mojave here in a couple weeks, and would like to put some in to make sure the fuel system is all clean. Should you let it all run out at once, meaning pour it in, and run till the tank is dry? Just curious, never heard of that stuff.

I've got a can of it in my hand. It recommends 1 oz. of SeaFoam per gallon on average. 1 pint will treat 8-25 gallons of fuel. It says it is good for both diesel and gas engines. I haven't used it with diesel, but I have used it in both 4 strokes and two strokes and it worked great in both. It claims to clean injectors, carburetors, carbon cleaner, fuel stabilizer, frees lifters and rings, de-icer anti-gel,upper cylinder lube, and dries moisture in oil and fuel. I have used in my trucks oil to clean valve lifters. It is made in Hopkins, MN and has been around since 1942. To use in gasoline just pour it in before you fill your tank and then drive as you normally would. You will see a little bit of white exhaust smoke and smell a different odor from your exhaust until it is burned off. Like I said earlier, I have no idea what is in it, but it really cleans out a fuel system.

5.4 gallons is one reason I like the 650i, so I want to get it all in. I filled up to the filler neck. 20 epic* miles later down only 1 bar. anybody just leave out the white tube? it looks like it would seal without it.

*Sunday ride. met 2 new friends to ride with. one of them saved my bacon, (not to mention the $$,$$$ in guns strapped up front) on a tight spot in the trail. He jumped on for outrigger ballast, it would have been 300yds of cartwheels, I haven't felt that exhilarated since rockclimbing

We made it up to a ridge with remnants of snowmobile tracks. blasting through the snow was heaven. Next Sunday we're heading over to a spot a little less technical & hope to get a turkey.

That averages to over 20mpg. You have a full size truck that gets close to that? my ATV get 80-90 miles on 5 gallons. My 500 Ski-doo needs 10 gallons to go over 100 miles.

Your quad is getting better than average of other similar 650s. It is not fair to compare mpgs of off-road nad on-road vehicles.
