EXCELLENT ATV. Great handling, speed, suspension, power, and everything else. If I were you, I would only buy a 2002 or up.

I always thought they were the same since they came out. Maybe small differences here and there, but the same for the most part?

I had an 00' and it was good for me until I got my KFX400.

My Mojave took out 300EX's,350 Raptors (until 5th gear). It will eat any other 250 on the market (not a 100% sure about the new 250Raptor, I know nothing about them). This was all before I modded mine as well. They scoot pretty good for a 250 once you get the hang of them.

The electrical wiring in the older models was not water proof. 2002 and up are water proof.

Also, it's nice not to have an old 1990s ATV that has been ridden a lot with many miles on it. Because in result, the engine will not have much compression left in it, resulting in low horsepower, which you need.

I have a kawasaki mojave 250, and it is a great quad. I've brought mine through mud and swamps and everything possible and it never let me down. This quad never has any problems with anything. The mojave is a much fast, more maneuverable quad. it has more suspension travel, way better shocks, and it can do or pull or go through anything the bayou 220 can do, and way more. i suggest if you are getting a new quad get the mojave and get rid of the bayou 220.

Also, my mojave can and will beat out any 250's out there unless they are stock up with a bunch or mods!!!

you probably can weld one to the axle housing if you are a good welder but i dont need to. i just tie the trailer to the rear grab bar or axle housing with a rope or something and that works out very well. I have pulled trailers full of logs, a small boat (by the axle housing), and my friends suzuki ozark out of the mud.......cough...SuziOzark...cough.....lol
