hi, today ain't a good day, i went out riding with my friend atving, and we was going just fine, and then i turned backward to talk to him, and the next thing i new i ran over this huge log, and as it turns out, i hafta buy a new rear axle for my kawasaki bayou 185, i called the dealer a few minutes ago, and asked him to check the price. well he came back on and said "are you sitting down" and i replied yes, and he says "it's gonna run $599.95" and i was speechless. so heres my question, if any of you guys know anyone with an old kawasaki bayou 185, and they are willing to part with there rear axle, this would greatly be appreciated, i can pay alot, but not 599.95. well i hope you can you help me.

 

When did they make a 185 Bayou? It may be cheaper to buy another one used.

 

they made the 185 from 1985 on to about 1990, i think, i have an 87, and i have seen 85's, but i ain't for sure when the last year they made the atv

 

Where did it bend at?Depending on where its bent you can look into getting it straightend.A friend of mine bent his on his 230 quadsport and had it straightend for $50.

 

it bent right were the wheel joins with the axle, and it's bent pretty bad, it's easily visable to the eye.
