need help with 06 kfx

Default need help with 06 kfx

im new to this and iwas wondering if some one can help me i have a 2006 kfx with hot cams in it and i bought an hmf slip on and it wont run right is there any one who can tell me wat jets to use on an hmf exhaust slip on if some one can help i would realy apreciate it

Welcome to the forums Johnkfx2006.

I moved this over to the Kawi section, so you should get a lot more positive responses.

My kfx is all stock for now, so can't help you much, but I'm sure others will post what you need.

Was it re-jetted?? If it was not then this could have an effect on how it runs. Also ....is this a kfx400 or 700 that we are talking about? If you have changed to an aftermarket exhaust, re-jetting is a must in my opinion. Hopefully some others will chime in here as well!! Good Luck!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

yea...thats what im thinking, is your airbox lid on also? if its not put it back on until you rejet it and it will calm the poppin down a little but it sounds like you need a 155 mainjet or mabye a lil smaller but it def sounds like its running lean if ya know a little bout working on this stuff you can pull the bowl off the carb and take a look at the main jet to see what size it is.
