i have a 2000 lakota and the chain comes off every once in a while.i have new sprockets and chain.any one got any ideas?every time it does it breaks off the tabs on the crankcase and it cost $70.00,its been to a shop and they recomended a chain tentioner,also when i sit on it the chain loosens insted of tighting.

 

Tighten that sucker up!

you have to be able to rotate the carrier or something.,

use a new STRONG chain, oviously you need it..

i dont know of any company that makes tensioners for the lakota, but I'm sure you can find one, or fab one up...
look for any kind of chain tensioners, or rollers.

you want 1/4 inch of play in chain

 

also look into a case saver.
