gonna change out the fluid in my bf750i. its way to hot on my left leg--heard that engine ice would help.
can anyone tell me if I need to empty all the existing antifreeze in it and flush it out?
Will it work if I just empty radiator and reservoir but don't flush system?
will the two liquids mix ok?

It will mix with anitfreeze, but does best when used with just water, so flushing out will get the most out of the engine ice/water mix. Just remember, most of the engine ice fluids are just for more efficient heat exchange, to take more heat from the motor, they will NOT protect against freezing temps, if you leave it in during cold weather, it will freeze and very possibly crack your block, or at very least, blow out the radiator. If you live in a hot climate where winter is not a factor, then it is ok to leave in all the time. One final note, get a gallon of distilled water to mix it up with, it is much cleaner than any tap water,no minerals or contaminants in it.

You need to flush the system completely out. You CANNOT mix ragular anti-freeze and engine ice together one is propylene glycol and the other is ethylene glycol. Drain all old fluid out and then fill with distilled water and vinegar and run till it heat cycles, let cool and drain all that fluid. This will flush all the crap out of system. Fill with engine ice, run it let it fill engine and top off. The engine ice I have is good into the nagative degrees. It will say on bottle what its temp range is. I think its -26 degrees. Hope this helps. I ran this in my CRF 450R and was great.

Thanks for the info, Mynameismud, I had seen similar products for cars that did not require draining the antifreeze, must have been a different make up than engine ice. Most of the ones I have seen will not protect against freezing, what brand have you used, so we have that information as well??
By the way, that is one disturbing avatar, I am a Family Guy fan, and I remember that episode, thank God you didn't use the part when he was walking with the thong all the way up his butt !!!!

IMHO your going to be disapointed if you think this product will reduce the heat on your leg.

THANKS to all who sent advice...
got it all drained, flushed with 50/50 vinegar & water. then flushed with water. and then filled with engine ice. I sure hope this helps to cool it down.
know for sure after the ride on 10/03 at Skyline Al.

Infrared temp. light already shows it to be 20oF lower than before

If its the heat on your legs that is the real issue then you need to look into wrapping you exhaust with fiberglass wrap this will hold the heat in the pipe and out the rear of your ride. I have a 05 750 myself and I'm seriously thinking of doing this myself.

Engine Ice is great stuff but people are right in that it won't help the heat on your leg. Your leg won't notice the few degrees cooler the engine ice will keep your engine.

BTW as was said you should not mix it with anything..... Engine Ice is mean to be used by itself....
