Default Fuel leaking

New guy here with a 02 Kawasaki Lakota. I'ts leaking fuel (really bad) into the air filter. I've replaced the needle and the float seems to be okay. The dealer is telling me it's the "seat" and this is factory pressed in so I will need a new carburator.

Any thoughts?

Get a small pointed/tapered object, almost looking like a lead pencil end, and try to clean the float level valve seat, using it as a reamer, if you think that's dirty.

So, you believe it's a float issues not the "seat"? Not sure if it's dirty or not. if I blow into the fuel intake on side of carb and move the float up and down it seems to shut off and on just fine.

Any of following can flood the fuel into air box in Lakota.
> Incorrectly set float height.
> Worn out or damaged/bent float valve tip.
> Worn our or damaged seat area where the float valve seats on.
> Fuel tank vent line clogged up and excess fuel pressure is flooding the carb and into the air box. It can even hydrolock the engine with fuel. Remove the spark plug and crank to see if any fuel would spit out from the plug hole. Also, check crankcase oil for any fuel contamination.
