Default Temperature light flashing

Last two times out, temperature light started flashing when left at idle briefly after driving some time.

Shut it down and left sitting 2-5 minutes and goes out or if drive it all out for a few minutes, seems fine.

Engine does not appear to be overheating (not overly hot to touch), fluid is full BUT fan is not coming on (but never rarely did anyway).

And ideas?

check your fan and make sure that the fan baffles are not clogged with mud. check both the front and back side. this was my issue.
If they are hose them off with light hose pressure...

As free as can be.

Thought that too, but radiator and fan are both clean & clear (pressure washed them anyway just to be sure).

Be careful pressure washing the radiator. You can bend the fins very easily. I suggest just using the hose without a nozzle on it.

is your fan working....my kicks in and cools it, esp. when light comes on. If its hot the fan should keep running, even after you shut machine down.
friend of mine was just having same issue with his King Quad 700, ended up being a fan issue.

I have been there and FIXED that. My problem was the circuit breaker under the seat that controls the fan. If your fan is not running after you cut the ATV off then you can narrow it down to the fan or this breaker...Good luck.

Dealer told me probably the same thing. I'll replace it and post the results.

That is cool...glad I could save you some bucks. It took $50.00 for me to find that out.
Let me ask you trio of questions. The tires sizes on my Brute are rear - 25-10-12 and front 25-8-12....I see that you have 26's on your ATV. Did you install them on the same rims? If so, do they rub? What sizes do you have?

No rubbing issues at all. Have lots of room.

First I had them in the OEM's and now on SS's, still no problems.
