I was wondering if like bumpers for a 2001 mojave would work on my Lakota it's a 2001 They have the same body shae look just a like because they make a lot of parts for the lakota but only a few for Lakota Thanks for any help Catch you guys later

 

I know that some stuff(rear grab bar)by DG willnot fit the lakota.

It will fit if you have the racks removed. Mojave grab bars will fit too if the racks are off. Oh yea, You said 2001 Lakota though, so you got no racks to bother with.

 

If you don't have racks then everything off the Mojave will fit on the Lakota, except for engine parts.

 

That is not true. Everything will not fit. The lakota chassis is actually different from the Mojave. The Lakota frame has a section under the motor that is dropped down lower than the mojave so a full skid plate for a mojave will not fit. The lakota foot peg mounts are in a different place than the mojave so mojave nerfs will not fit. The lakota swing arm is longer than the mojo but most skid plates for the mojave will fit but sometimes you have to elongate the mounting holes.

 

I put a DG grab bar on my wifes Lakota (no racks) and it just required a little grinding on the grab bar to clear the fender supports.

 

Oh wow, no kidding. I didn't realize there were any differences. I should have remembered the longer swingarm though, DOH.
