Better get a two-stroke while you can if that is what you want. If the EPA has it's way, two-strokes will fall into the same fate as the three-wheeler. That is why manufacturers of ATVs, motorcycles and outboards are all coming out with new four-strokes.

I'm not gonna bash anything because I like 'em all and ride both 2s and 4s, but a four-stroke will never perform like a two-stroke, not without a ton of money spent on it. As far as reliability, the 4s last longer but a 2 generally needs only a ring-job, which isn't all that difficult or time consuming considering what the rewards are (I personally hate to mix the gas myself, which probably sounds stupid). Being a two-stroke guy or a four-stroke guy is probably just which one you prefer. I love my Quadzilla but I can promise you I would love a Raptor or 400EX, no doubt about it. The DS interests me greatly because it has the big frame-geometry like the Quadzilla and I don't believe it would be too difficult for me to adjust to.
