Default 1998 KLF300 Starting problems

I've got a 98 Bayou 300 that only clicks when I hit the start button. The battery has been tested and is good and hot. Headlights and green neutral light are bright. I've been reading up on this problem in the forum and most everyone refers to a bad solenoid as being the problem. Is this "solenoid" the same as the "relay" shown on all the part breakdowns? Located right by the battery case? If not, what part am I looking for? Thanks.

solenoid -- pull the starter out of the bike, and bench test it .. your local autozone can test it for you, just tell them its 12 volt.

however, how did you test the battery, and did you disconnect and reconnect? starters work from AMP, lights from volts (yeah, i know, that's not ACCURATE, but think of it that way) ... you can have 12v at 2 amps, and your lights work fine .. but if the connections are bad, you may not be passing enough amps.
