I have a 2006 kfx400 with rod knock....I have a line on a 2004 model engine... i know there were some changes to the engines between those years.. are the bottom ends interchangable? will my top end bolt onto that bottom end? any info appreciated.

I believe the bottom ends are the same...... in 2005 they changed the cams and valves but as far as I know the bottom end was the same all years. To be certain call Suzuki and ask.....

 

According to a the parts fiche the engine cases are the same.
