I am working on a Kawi Bayou 300 that was given to my buddy and I need some help with it. I need to find out what year it is(no visible date of manufacture on it). It is red shaft drive with what looks to be a selectable rear differential on it(locked or whatever). It has reverse and a funny looking parking brake mechanism on it that rotates around the foot brake to lock the brakes. I know I need a pic and I will post one later when I get a pic. Does not look to old but not sure. Thanks >

 

Find the vin on the machines left side on the frame. And you can decode that vin and get some info you are looking for.

 

Yeah I figured I could do that but I have looked and looked and no vin to be found. I am sure it is on there. I will look more tomorrow. thanks

Okay, found out it was a 96 and a little info on it. I think I got the carb straight after 3 tries, keft overflowing and finally got the float adjusted so that it would not overflow. Got it running, now just needs an oil change and some fine tuning. Thanks all!!!!!
