the wobble isnt from the suspension components, as the previous tires did not wobble, my review on the Mud Gears mentions some possible reasons for the wobble.

tire pressure to high
mishapen rubber from the packing
out of round tires from factory (as others have complained of)
out of balance

dropped the pressure down to 10 lbs rides a lot smoother now but still has a noticable hop at about 30-35mph

I think the tires are out of round, I dont have very many miles on them , perhaps after a little wear they will round out.

they ride awesome on the trails though.

Hi folks,
I have 4 Bayou 250s and am looking for an internal winch mount for my 2005. jakobe, you mentioned finding one for yours. Do you or anybody else know where to get one? In searching i have found several that mount on the outside of the brush bars but none inside.

I agree, an internal mount would look much better and I think its a more secure mount technique as well.

thanks for any help.

The winch you want for this bike is the 1500 winch from either Warn or ProMark...they are almost identical in size.

The internal winch plate you seek is harder to find...but it does exist. from warn.

Warn is the only company I can find who makes this..it cost about 45- 70 bucks depending where you go.

Warn part # 69892

I just double checked the box it came shipped in and yes it is the internal mount...it comes in a few pieces.

- the main winch plate
- secondary mount plate (maybe)
- the fair-lead mount plate
- mounting hardware

the winch actually gets mounted upside down I found it easier to remove my front rack and install it off the bike.

I just finally did the synthetic fairlead and winch cable the other day so I had it all taken apart...much easier if the rack is off the bike.

Its a weird configuration though...upside down and inverted.

Lemme know when you get it and Ill post some up close pics of my winch to help.

Hi jakobe,
I have your suggested winch and mount kit ordered. I will check back when I get some tracking dates. I have downloaded Installation Manuals for each and it doesn't look like too bad a job.

Nonetheless, any tips you offer will be appreciated.

thanks,
randy

atv tires should only have around 5psi, try lowering them some more and see if it handles better
