Default HID for 2004 Praire 360 4x4

My buddy just put HID's Lights on his Polaris and they are so bright that I have decided that I want them for my Kawasaki prairie just to brighten the look. I have not found a kit for the prairie but have found them for the teryx. does anyone know if they will work or if there is a way to get hid lights for mine?

Thanks

What's the amperage rating or wattage of the HID light that you want to install? It should not be more than what your quad's charging system can produce (minus what you already need to use).

I'd say you don't have to worry about it as the HId kits usually come as either 35W or 55W output. Even though the lights are brighter (produce more lumens), the use less energy than what comes stock.
I have a set for my brute force that i just haven't installed yet. i searched for a plug and play kit and it seems that there isn't one for our Kawi's.
I ordered a 55W H3 - 6000K kit off ebay and in order to make them work you have to mount them in the stock light bulb - actually break the old bulb and replace it with the guts of the HIDS-
I have mine all wired up and tried them out, they work great, just haven't worked up the nerve to actually break my $50 stock bulbs and insert the HIDS.

not sure how it works but does it just knock out the bulb out of the housing so that the new bulb will go into the socket the other one came out of?

As to the power draw question, in my quad manual (not sure which section) it says you may add additional lighting up to X watts. (My bayou is about 50 going from memory.
