Kawasaki or Yamaha? please help
#1
I have a delima put before me and I cant find any reviews on the 2 bikes, I want to buy an automatic fourwheeler and have narrowed it down to 2 bikes the Kawasaki Prairie 360 4x4 or the yamaha grizzly 350 4x4. But can anyone find or have any reviews or personal experience of these two new bikes. I probably will buy brand new but still dont know which one to go with. any help would be appreciated . thanks

I love my Prairie 360. Not the quickest around but with take me anywhere I want to go. Even though it is a solid rear axle, I believe that it has one of the smoothest rides of the sra. Not much power for the weight but will still run with the big qauds in the tight trails. And in 4x4 is almost unstoppable in the mud

Thank you all so much that was very informative, I am leaning toward the Grizzly only for the independent suspension in the rear, but the Kawa is much cheaper here in Louisiana. So I am torn still because of price now, but I have some time, so I will go dealer to dealer and see if I can get the best price possible. I have been quoted $4500 a piece ( cause I want 2 ) for the kawa 360 4x4 plus whatever the taxes are here I think 9%. The Yamaha without the 4x4 is $3999.00 havent price the 4x4 feature yet, but I do want 4x4 just in case but I dont think my wife will need it. I dont see her getting to wild or going into any scary mud lol. so maybe just for me. Thanks so much guys.

I have an 05 and an 09 Prairie. What I like most is how it is the same machine from 2004 to the present. This makes it easier to get used parts. I also like the front differential control and have used it many times to work my way out of muddy conditions. I haven't had any problems, so I haven't had to put any money into them. It's plenty fast and powerful enough for me, but that's a subjective area.

A Prarie 360 was my first quad and I loved it. Very user friendly and it made a reat utility quad for around the lawn and woods.

i got a 07 grizzly 450. best 4 wheeler i've ever had. that sucker does everything i want or need it to do. it's a 4x4. so i concur with DODGE57HEMI, go with the 450 for the capability. it's well worth the money! no complaints. if you don't buy in La. buy in Tx or Oklahoma! but get what you want.

If I were going to buy a utility 4x4 it would be down here in this sort of class.
I am a woods guy though, so to me the big brute utes are just too big in size...
And I would not want to tip one over!
I think everyone has a good offering... it's all about what you want in size, comfort, features, power, ride and clearance.
For example I even like Honda's Rancher line pretty good now.
I'd want 4x4, preferably selectable 4x4, diff-lock, and would prefer low range selection, and might even go IRS for the ride and clearance since I wouldn't be slinging it into slides like my sport ATV's.
And I really do not see the point in getting something like this if it's not 4x4. Even for the wife... she's more likely to get herself and machine in a predicament where the 4x4 will come in handy. Women, a little worse than men, are prone to panic and loose any advantage they had on the terrain... by slowing, stopping, turning the wrong way, or just flat out taking the wrong line.
