I'm looking to replace my stock exhaust with an aftermarket one. I'm not to worried about performance gains just sound. I'm looking to produce as close to the deep throaty sound as a YZ426 if possible. If anyone can help and/or knows a good place with the best prices please reply. Thanks

 

I prefer Cobra JET pipes. I have them on both of my Mojaves and they have a loud deep tone. They are around $140.

 

do you find that the cobra jet are louder than most and do they offer a good low mid or top

 

I put a DG RCM on my 2000. I noticed a power gain in mostly low to mid range. Pretty loud but I liked it.

 

 

Get the supertrapp ids2. I just put it on my bike and it rocks. I had the dg exhaust on it before and it sucked. It didn't give it near the power that the supertrapp does. It gave it more power throughout the whole powerband. I got the quiet series and it is still louder than stock but sounds awesome.

 

It is hard to make a 250 cc sound bigger than it by changing the exhaust alone, most exhaust are going to be loud or quiet but the bigger engine sound comes from an engine which "pumps" more air thru it. The best way to get the bigger sound is to put more radical camshafts in. I prefer white brothers, wasn't happy at all with supertrapp, supertrapp isnt built with as high quality parts as WB. WB is stainless and aluminum. Supertrapp is poorly painted steel and aluminum. If you dont want to spend the money go with cobra.
