> Remove the valve cover.
> Rotate the crank by hand CCW and align the T mark on the crank rotor to the notch makr on the crankcase.
> Slip in the feeler gauge and check/adjust by loosening the 10 mm lock nut and turning the set screw.
Get the service manual if need more detail.
