Faster Brute '06 Carb VS '12 Fuel Injection

Which is faster and why? I read that the old Carb brutes are a little quicker, is this true?

Depends. Carbs can put out more HP, especially on hot days. Carbs have intercooling effects and EFI does not.This effect is VERY small.

Something like lighter tires or rims would make way more difference.
