Afterdoing a bit more reading I think I'll check my float height. I wish I'd have thought of that yesterday when I had it all apart.

check your fuel tank vent also. that way you can eliminate the possibility of vacuum locking the tank.

Default still going on?

Hey - back to the forum I thought I would add two cents again to this topic regarding the bike reving on it's own I had a run in with a ditch the other day, was turning and bike went off on it's own took me right down a ditch so I decided enough was enough I had to figure this out... something so stupid and it could be on yours too...

looking at my throttle cable it was wired ontop of the handlebar when I made sharpe right turns it pulled the throlled sending it whereever I was pointing...

lesson learned, issued fixed

That was the problem with it stalling. Thanks.

I'm trying to figure out whats going on with the idle also for me it's not only in nutural but also from time to time in gear it tends to rev out and take off on it's own.. def carb issue I'm going to be plugging into this project this weekend I'm thinking i'm sucking in air from around the intake - as I just had the carb rebuilt so I can't see it being inside my carb

but yes I to have the heat that I ride with my one leg kinds pointing out and the idle issue... be nice to see someone's feedback on this makes me feel a little better knowing it's happening to you also :P
Have you tried adjusting your valves? I did mine a couple days ago and the high idle/ revving up problem went away. It starts a lot better now and I think it's even running cooler now too.

We had it out after dark and the exhaust definitely isn't glowing red. However, it does stall occasionally at higher rpms like it's running out of gas but starts right back up and runs fine. I took the carburetor apart and cleaned it again and pulled the tank and removed the on/off/reserve valve and gave it a good cleaning but it's still doing it.
iv had that hapen to me when the air screw is out to far it should only be out about 1.25 turns aprox
