I have a 2001 lakota and the chain wont stay tight if it's streched will it cause it to stay loose when i try to adjust it when i turn the thing it's as tight as it will get. getting a new chain this week.
the bolts that hold the thing tight how tight do i get them tight i was talking to some one AND THEY SAID NOT TO TIGHTEN THEM VERY TIGHT.

 

If you don't tighten those bolts tight enough they will allow the carrier to move and the chain to loosen up again. I believe the manual states 40lbs. of torque for those bolts.
