Default steering straightness?

Hi! I was out riding and accidentally, caught my front right tire on a tree. The handle bars now don't line up with the wheels. How do i realign my wheels to be in line with the handle bars? do i have to readjust my tie rods? any help or pics would be appreciated. ps. i was going slow when i bumped the tree so i don't think i really did any damage. I just need to know what to check! Thank You....bob hosie

You need to adjust the tie rods (nuts on both ends of the tie rods). use string and jack stands or something else heavy that wont move. Tie string on the rear where you can mount a trailer ball, take them around the quad against the rear tires in a straight line and put your jack stands out in front of the quad and tie the string to those...you measure the distance between the string and the front tires and that is your toe in. You are looking for 1/8 total toe in

Before making any adjustment check for bent tie rods or something else that might be bent. If nothing's bent check handle bar alignment first. Tie rod ends don't just slip.

As for ties I buy mine off CL just bought a set of new Bighorns 27" for $250. Doesn't get much cheaper than this.
