I'm a sledder too. The three similarities that come to mind for a belt drive ATV and sled are:

CVT via primary & secondary clutches and belt
Thumb throttle
Handlebars

Oh, and the need for maintenance/repair/rebuilding/replacement of the primary clutch. Ha!

Well, I'll give the Brute the rest of the year and see how I feel about it. Not sure if I can get used to the noise level. I currently have my Honda Recon for sale. Next will be my totally awesome 1981 Kawasaki 750 LTD, then maybe the Brute. I'm a woman, I can change my mind as much as I want

1981 Kawasaki 750 LTD
That was my first street bike, I loved the looks of them tear drop tank and step seat. My only complaint was the chain drive I seemed to always have to adjust it and it through gease on the back wheel.

Honda are just quiet , even the generators are the quietest I have heard.

My LTD is near mint with only 7,000 miles. The color is called Brown even though it looks more dark purple/brown. The older I get the less I ride it. Starting to scare myself!

Mine was black , and had 25,000 miles on it might of went more but I totalled it. I sure miss it sometimes.
I bought the 1984 1100 LTD with shaft drive next but did not like the styling as much as a 1981, it had a ugly fiberglass back fender and not as nice of a tank ,but lots of power.

Nothing like an old LTD. I had a 305 first for 10 years than upgraded to the 750 for the past 5. Bit off more than I could chew. Too big and heavy for my little self HA!
