I plan on building a Kawaski for my race bike. I currently race a 400ex but i'm ready for a 2 stroke. Which one of these put out more horsepower? What's the advantage of the tecate-4 being counter balanced? The pro's i see racing on videos....Are they using tecate-4 chasis's with KX250 motors or what?

I think the pros that race Kawasaki are probably using aftermarket frames with KX250 motors. The counterbalanced motors of the old tecates would not vibrate as much and still put out a lot of power. The handling of Tecates is typically not up to par with the Hondas which is why most racers use the 250R. I love my tecate and it is a real thrill to ride, but if I were racing I would have to put some money into handling mods to be competitive.
