Yes it is!

When I rode the 2012 when it first came out, I was amazed at how much better it handled than the older Brutes. And the new one I rode even had 26x10x12 tires mounted on the front and it still handled better.

That is rumored to change very soon.
The reason they dropped everything but the 750 and the 300 was for EPA regs. The two 650's they were making were not fuel injected and could not meet the new standards. They still sold them in Canada even though they couldn't sell them here.

I think we will see this summer a 650i BF FI with PS, and maybe a 650 BF FI SRA. It is also rumored that they will put the 800cc Teryx engine into the BF 750. I hope so.

It would be nice to see a 4x4 BF 300, the two 650's again with FI, and an 800 BF flagship. That would cover all the bases pretty nicely.

But it would also be nice to see them drop that 800 into a new, FI KFX800. And maybe even bring back the Prairie 700 with FI, and introduce a 50" SXS. But now I'm just dreamin'...

I'm glad I bought when I did.

The 2015s have a feed-back system that includes an oxygen sensor just like your car.

And everybody worried about FI.

Actually, an O2 sensor isn't all bad. In fact, it would make the FI computer tune a bit more efficient and probably improve fuel economy when drastic elevation changes are encountered. It also would lesson the need for custom VDI programming (unless you are building a hot rodder).

Downsides would be: it's another part that can fail, added cost and weight (but that's very minimal).

One of the only issues I had with my previously owned Sportsman X2 was the oxygen sensor. Was a small short that caused it to stall one day. Other rider with me figured it out and we got going within 5 minutes. That being said, I'd never go back to a carb. fed quad.

Specta, was the Rubicon carb. fed? I didn't notice if you were fiddling around with a choke when we were out there. I'd have to think you're liking the fuel injection where you regularly change elevations between 6,000 and 10,000 ft.

my Rubicon was carbureted and I never had an issue with altitude changes, steep hills in either direction or even sub zero starting - amazingly it ran like it was FI - it was an amazing machine

2015 is the first year for a FI Rubicon

why would anyone want the same size tire on all 4 corners?

My friend did that on his King Quad. He bought Big Horns (he never listens to me ). He told me he did that so he could rotate them because they are non-directional tires. I still laugh and he regrets making that choice today.

I did take my BF out for a ride today and it really liked riding for a change.

The owner of the BF ordered his tires online, had the dealer install them before he went to pick it up and didn't realize that all four tires aren't supposed to be the same. First ride out with him, I looked at it as he was unloading it and asked him why he went with 10" fronts. He looked at me with a confused expression and said, "huh?".
