My brother was headed home with his 250 Bayou a couple nights ago and suddenly it wouldn't move forward anymore, just make a grinding noise. He decided to try reverse and it worked fine so he drove the last mile or so home in reverse. For a couple days before this happened, he said it was rough downshifting. Any ideas? From what I could hear over the phone, it sounds exactly like when my the spring in my driveshaft broke and caused the splines to strip out but could it slip when turning one way and catch the other?
