my prairie 300 4x4 pops out of low gear making a grinding noise. I noticed when using the shifter that in R, N and High gear the shifter locks tight but, in low gear, there is 1/2-3/4" play (back and forth) in the shifter, any suggestions?

if you suggest "adjust the linkage", explain how, because google has 18000 answers like that, but no explanation on how to do it
