bayou 300 4x4 shifting problem vid
Hey guys - new member. Picked up this 89 300 4x4. Saved it from being parted out. I'm nice like that. It has "transmission problems". Guy didn't speak English so didn't get much more info than that. Been sitting a long time.
Anyway, I pulled the right cover and found the arm wasn't even splined correctly and so it was stuck against the cover, making the shifter lever appear frozen. Got that splined at the right degree per the manual and it moves fine but I still can't seem to get it out of neutral. It does stick up into first although the quad still moves freely as if in neutral. ..Anyone bored and want to help me troubleshoot it? I am wondering if anything else is assembled wrong.
