Default Removing Prairie 300 4x4 motor

I'm about to pull the motor but I hear there are two ways to do it. The factory manual says to remove the bezel gear housing but the Haynes says remove the front drive shaft. I'm not sure how to remove the bevel gear housing with the front and rear driveshafts connected. Seems strange. I'm guessing the easiest way is to remove the front driveshaft and then slide the motor forward off the rear driveshaft. Any opinions are welcome.

In my many years of fixing toys I have found that you never trust aftermarket manuals. I use and trust factory manuals only for best and easiest results

Thanks. I got my answer. The factory manual says to remove the bevel gear case AFTER removing the front propeller shaft. Well once I remove the front propeller shaft I can slid the motor forward and pull off the rear drive shaft.

I missed the above when I breezed through the factory manual

Easy to do especially when most men don't like instructions, they like to figure things out themselves. As I get older I am beginning to find there are people just as smart as I think I am, they are just few and far apart. LOL
