2002 Prairie 300 2x4 Bogging
#1
Have an issue with my 2002 Prairie 300 2x4 bogging.
I got it from a buddy not running. Cleaned the carb, adjusted valves and reattached the exhaust pipe with a new gasket and collar pieces.
When it's cold, when I give it gas it bogs down at like 1/4 throttle. I'll hesitate then rev, hesitate then rev and so on. Eventually it'll rev all the way up but once it gets to idle and I give it gas again it does the same thing. Once the machine is hot it'll still hesitate but it won't bog down as much. I'm stumped on why it's doing this. If anybody has any opinions on what it might be let me know. I have like $950 into this and want to get it running before I take a loss on this thing.

Hook a timing light to the plug wire and see if the light stays constant or flickers in time with the rpm change. If the light flickers it's probably an electrical problem. If the light stays constant it's still probably a fuel or carb related problem. Plus cleaning an old carb may not solve problems as needle and seats wear out along with carb slide needles, etc.KAWASAKI KVF 300 PRAIRIE 1999 2000 2001 2002 SHINDY CARBURETOR CARB REBUILD KIT | eBay
