finally found oil leak but how to fix?

Default finally found oil leak but how to fix?

as per subject line i finally found the oil leak that had plagued me for about the last year. It is coming from the shifter pedal now is it really hard to fix it.

p.s. i almost forgot to list my machine it is 2001 kawaski lakota sport.

Sounds like a shifter seal leaking.Should be easy to pop out and install a new one.2001 Kawasaki LAKOTA SPORT (KEF300-B1) Engine Cover(s) | Babbitts Kawasaki Partshouse

okay thanks OPT is there a way to go about taking it apart, and which number in the diagram are you sure that this is the diagram i should be looking at because it seems as it is on the other side, i mean the actual shifter is on the other side it would be the left side if you were sitting on the machine.

If the chain is on the left side #12053 is the chain guide. May be wrong but looks like one of the 92050 seals would be for the shift shaft,the other 92050 for the sprocket seal.Could be wrong.

If your going to work on any machine new to you just get a manual.https://www.tradebit.com/filedetail....pair-1995-2004 Can save you time and frustration.
