Default 2001 Kawasaki prairie 300 4x4 no power no start no neutral

Bought prairie previous owner had lost key an spliced into harness couldn’t get any power at all so I replaced harness an still no power, no neutral light no switches. I only see one small glass round 5A fuse.. (has continuity) don’t see anymore fuses? My other Kawasaki bayou has the same no power issue had a fuse on the solenoid an once u changed it all worked.. any help would be appreciated. If anyone has a service manual they could email me or if someone could tell me where the 30a fuse is supposed to be I would be grateful.. thanks in awls Vance

Looks like you need to follow voltage.

From battery, through fuse, to ignition switch, To stop engine then starter button. Then back to starter circuit relay.

I used test light on battery an then I have power on one side of solenoid but not on other.. an no power on thel little wires on the solenoid.. an no power to the start switch..

I read in another forum that the Kawasaki prairie has more than 1 fuse but I cannot find another fuse. I can only find the one glass cylinder fuse that had a 5A fuse in it.. I replaced that fuse but can’t find another.. any more help would be appreciated

According to the wiring diagram there is only one fuse.

The solenoid readings are what you should be getting without holding start button.

So you said you have no power to start switch.

Before it gets there, how about the ignition switch? Do you have power on both wires with the key on?

The starter button gets its power through the kill switch. Do you have power at the kill switch?

You can test the starter solenoid by putting 12volts on the little wire. That should make the engine turn over.

Do the lights work? Just might help to narrow the problem.

The starter solenoid should have 2 big wires and two little wires. If you jump across the two big wires it should engage the starter.
Also there is a little black wire, not the little black with yellow stripe.
if you jumper 12volts to the black wire it should engage the starter if the solenoid is good.

No power what so ever.. no headlights no neutral light nothing.. when I jump the 2 big wires on the solenoid the starter does spin but will not start due to no fire.. not sure about jumping the lil wires. But I do kno that when I was using the test light the lil wires did not have power

No lights means you need to check for power at and through they key switch next. Looks like that is ahead of everything else.

I would think the ignition key switch is good. I jus bought it new an plugged in 2 days ago, after I replace the harness with a used harness from eBay..
