It must be nice just to have the dang 4 wheeler I have had a deposit on mine sence the First of April and dont have it yet. Ever time I call about it it is comming next week. It seems as if this bike is only going to come in Lousiana, Mississippi, Texas, and Canada. The dealers in Virgina where I am and West Virgina have no clue when they are going to come but they tell you next week and then next week again. I have tried calling Kawasaki's coustomer service and have not got a answer. Does any one know where this thing is being built US or Japan? I just want to ride!!!!!!!!!!

I just picked up the brochure today for the 650 and it shows a picture of a warn 2000 series winch mounted on it. I also noticed that the Prairie 650 web site has FINALLY been updated with specs and photos and other info.

My Prairie 650 has 90 miles (14hrs) on it now and I haven't had this much fun riding an ATV since I sold my Polaris Scrambler 400 and 350X Honda ATC. This thing is a ball and I would not even consider going back to either of those bikes over this one. I've also owned a Polaris Sport and it was ok but the way we ride 4x4 is a must have. I read the rear end boot comments and can say so far from my experience water does not seep into the rear-end (yet). This thing has already been in water up to the top of the seat and I had no problems in fact, I hit a hole in the river and got stuck in the "quick sand" so the big Prairie sat idling in the water for about 5+min while I worked it out. It sounded like a motor boat but never faltered. After getting it out I check the air box, differentials, motor oil and belt drive. NO PROBLEMS I was very relieved and extremely excited if I had done this to any of the Polaris's I've owned I would have been changing counterbalance oil and rolling it to it's side just to get enough water out to ride back to the bunk house. I've turned my throttle up to 100% and mine seems to top out around 62mph but it get to 50-55mph quicker than anything I've ever owned (except maybe the 350x). As for the transmission whine it must be normal because after about 30mph mine sounds like an F16 sitting on the flight line getting ready for a Near Vertical Takeoff. But it doesn’t bother me much most of my riding friends think it sounds cool, I could do without it but I don't really care about it either.
When you all get ready tell me what you get for a top speed. My top speed so far has only been measured by the Speedo and not by a gun or another vehicle but I will do that soon.
Ride safe, all
