I have a 96 Mojave no diffrence except for The plastic and Stickers, but it will smoke a 300ex easily my friend has one with all the same mod's as mine and in a drag and around a little track I beat him no prob. The dual over cams and high compression piston really make it worth it,plus it is cheaper and The money you save you can mod it with tires and exhaust. The Mojave is very under-rated and can even beat a 400 if it is modded well. I say take the Mojave you will not be dissapointed.

Superman.....You need to get out once and a while. I have beaten 400EXs on my Mojave at local tracks here ain North GA. I even beat some at the GNC opener in Macon this year. I placed 10 outta 15 in my qualifier. I would have placed better if it wasn't for a ***** who has wrecked me in 2 states now. ANYWAY...you put a good rider on a modded Mojave...it WILL beat a 400. Get your heads outta the clouds and face up to reality.
One more thing.....a 400 pushes 28h.p. stock?? A stock Mojave pushes 26h.p. Just a little helpful info.

I own an 87 Mojave and have beaten a 400EX on it. By the way, the only mod is a uni-filter, oh and renthal bars. Also, can anyone help me. My mojave lost spark one day when I shut it off after it got kinda hot. When it cooled down and tried to start it, the thing wouldn't start. Then I put a new spark plug in it and nothin. Then I noticed it did'nt have spark. A couple of days or so later I was playing with it and it started but it seemed like it had lost all power and then it died and wouldn't start again. Is there any way ian test the coil or CDI box, I am not good with electrical stuff

A stock mojave doesn't even come close to putting out 26.5hp, try 18hp stock. You come up to wisconsin and i'll kick your *** on my 400, in a drag or on the track. So if mojaves are so much faster than 400's how come you don't see anybody racing them in GNC or GNCC events? Answer that one for me tough guy. I don't here the pros ranting and raving about "how mojaves are such awesome quads." Do you? Also if there such an awesome quad how come their rated an entry level bike?

Hey Superman you live right down the road from me why don't you come over you I can wupp you ***. Cuz you know I can and a stock Mojave does put out 26 h.p at the crank tough guy. How come the pro's dont race 400ex's. Because they are to slow. Wow. They are air cooled and they have a Single overhead cam!!! WOw That's Horrible!! The 400ex is outdated by alot when compared to a Mojave. Hey Superman I know that you sold your Mojave because it was to fast for you so you had to tone it down and get a 400ex a nice beginner quad. Hey Superman what if these people you talk Smack to came up here to race you would be sh*t out of luck because you can't jump and you quad riding skill's are up there with my next door neighbor's son on his lt160 so I think you should think before you speak. ANd for ltracerx It is probaly your CDI box the same thing happened to my brother's lt250r.
