Whats up with that? Don't post your impressions before you see it in person? Who does that apply to, because we wouldn't have anyone in the forums posting if thats the case. How many people posted impressions of all the new quads in the last few years when they had only seen them in magazines? Tons, upon tons of people. That was a wasted post there man.

I posted impressions on engine power, and suspension. I saw it and ragged its plastic bodywork. Thats about all. I'm still considering this bike though. It has as much going for it as far as performance goes as anything out. It just has weak plastic in places there should be steel.

Who are you to make a statement like that? I guess I should stay on the Yamaha forum from now on if I'm going to say anything at all about their stuff good or bad.

I like that prairie too, but I've had too many rocks slam the pumpkin on my other straight axle quads to drop 7K on another one that will do the same. I may still have to just get a fast IRS quad with sorry plastic after all. I know a guy that just bought a new Griz. In fact, it was the one I looked at. He and his dad got to line them up at the dealer (they've bought several motorcycles and a couple quads from them, and thats the only thing I can figure on why they let them do this). The Prairie got the jump, and then the Griz ate its lunch for it.

 

Mine is not a wasted post; rather, your's is a wasted opinion. It would indeed be nice if you carried your idiotic thoughts as well as your lame-*ss personality back to where you came from...in my opinion.

Check my profile smart guy, the date that shows is the week they changed up the forums from the original format. I was here long before that too. After reading this thread that you have dominated with your gloom and doom opinions I can see why most other people here don't seem to get along with you.

I also really liked your reasoning that because you were a member of this forum since the beginning that you are somehow entitled to attack anyone who even hints at disagreeing with you. You are a class act. (that would be sarcasm, Andy)

Who gives a rats *** how somebody spells as long as they get their point across? You should find something better to do with your time rather than trying to act like the whiney-little-know-it-all that you undoubtedly are in person.

Why don't you just buy a Grizzly and quit trying to sell everyone else on them? Whatever you buy would be better than that trailing-edge-technology POS that you have now.

I've been a member of this forum / web-site since the beginning also, I just would never post anything because no one seemed to care until now. It's good that we all love this sport so much that we are so strongly opinionated. I hate when you guys pick on the bad spellers though I have a college degree in computer science and accounting (what a nerd right) but man I can't spell worth a hoot! I always tell everyone I'm not a nerd because I enjoy riding, shooting, hunting and drinking too much to be a true nerd.
Anyway, that's enough of the background check, my big new Prairie has 18hrs on it now and I'm still enjoying the heck out of it. Those of you who keep picking on the thin plastic should stifle it I've already bounced mine off trees / hill sides with no damage (actually it did cave in once but it popped out, can't even tell where it happened except the safety sticker didn't recover very well). I even read one post about someone saying how quickly it would scratch up because it was so thin. Now I don't know about everyone else but I've never owned a shinny quad that was more than ten hours old. I had one new comer to the sport ask me how to keep the plastic from scratching and I told him " park it in the garage and put a cover on it".
Well I just came by work to read my emails and see if my Band-Aids were all in place it's 9:00am I've been here for an hour and I have people meeting at my house for an all day ride. Like I always tell my 5-year-old we can't get hurt sitting around here we better go ride!!!

Well, I didn't nail anyone for spelling to begin with. I called that guy "Genius" and that was it. Then he posted back with "Genious" in quotes back at me, and I took it that he was saying I had spelled it wrong. That ended up not being the case. He was just calling me what I had called him. This guy edited out his post and took away all evidence of what the original conversation between us was after that, so I guess a couple of you jokers don't exactly know all you think you do. Your just as bad as anyone else for taking a stab at me here anyway. Did I say anything to either of you? Hell no. Jackasses.

Trying to sell the Grizz? Where? Don't recall doing that. I defended it some, and then slammed it for having too much plastic. Nowhere did I try to sell it. I don't care what you losers ride. Timberwolves and Scrambler 90's for all I care. I don't have to ride it, so why would I give a $hit?

As far as 87r is concerned, you can go to rat h3!! for all I care. I didn't pull your chain jack, and if I want any crap from you, I'll ask. Dominated with doom and gloom opinions? What is that supposed to mean? Sounds like you are just trying to think up material to make your bash post sound intelligent. As far as spelling, I don't care much about that either. If I hit somebody up on spelling, it would have been in defense of a previous personal attack, because I am not one to nail somebody unless I was provoked. I don't start crap, but I will be there to finish it. POS that I have? Yeah. Got ya pal. This thing isn't the fastest, but its as reliable as any bike made. I can't make any comments about Kawasaki, because I have always liked them. Ever since the Bayou 300 was introduced, I have been a fan, but I don't like you Cochise, and I'm not going to let that be swayed into an idea that I am against Kawasaki.

 

Me myself, I like reading Andy's posts, I think there well thought out and he speaks from the "real world" stand point. If he or any one else want's to hack on a quad thats his or her right. The way some of these people act you would think they either owned stock in Kaw. or they must be a sales rep for the company or there on the pay roll. I really don't get it??...I own a Arctic-Cat myself and all of you can hack away at will....i don't care. *LOL*....now if A/C wants to put me on the pay roll?????

Man oh man, a little too much testosterone floating around over here??? After reading the last 4 pages of this bash-fest, what started out as an honest post really went sour quick. I have to agree with PaulStanley, as Andy's "real world" knowledge and feedback. The original posts were of comparisons between speed and GPS testing of several different machines, from all manufacturers. A little later, a beef started as a result of a simple misunderstanding, which was later resolved between the two parties. That's one thing about keyboards that you don't always take the same way as personal tone of voice-written words tend to take on different meaning without actually hearing them. At any rate, it was resolved. As far as "selling" the Grizz, I don't see that at all. In fact, in a few of Andy's posts, it seems like he's more or less comparing the two in a side-by-side stand-off. The reason behind this? Real-World useage! Why would you go spend $7k on a machine that will break, bend, tweak, tear or whatever the case may be riding in area's you know first hand what they are like? It looks to me like Andy's not only comparing the two machines as close as they can be, but also trying to figure out which one will best fit his riding area's, without any troubles. As far as the skid plate goes, I know exactly what he's talking about. Owning a '00 'Cat myself with plastic skid plate, I will tell you strait up that thing is down right impressive to say the least! I've dropped hard on that thing, dug it across all kinds of logs, sharp jagged rocks, ledges, you name it. While it may be scratched a little, there are no dents, tears or rips anywhere-this thing is tough! Seeing anything lesser than the 'Cats skidplate would sure have me thinking otherwise for the type of riding and working I do. Yet I find it funny how all of a sudden he's the "jackass" for comparing the two machines, and especially since he's said a couple times now that the upcoming shootouts will be "too close to call", each not having a definate "edge" over the other.

Again, I agree with PaulStanley in that Andy speaks from "real world" knowledge and know-how. Like I said, why would he want to spend $7k for a machine with plastic floorboards that could very easily break crossing those creek beds? While most of you seem to find this completely "doom and gloom" writing, some may actually find usefull information in there with regards to their own riding styles and terrains. And, in NO WAY is there any need for such abusive comments as found in Slingers latest post. Myself, I'd be ashamed as all get out to sign my name to a post like that, I mean come on, where's the reasoning in that???

Can't we all just get along??? Ride hard, Ride safe-it doesn't matter what you ride, just that you ride and what's "best" for you may not be "best" for everybody else. Lighten up guys, it's not that big a deal.
