Mojave bearing problem

My swingarm bearings just came in the other day for my 88' mojave so i went to instal them and they don't fit are they supposed to be really tight or should i sand them down alittle bit or should i just hammer them in???? Any suggestions or info will help.

put them in the freezer for awhile to shrink the metal. they should go in with little to no effort.

You can try freezing them like JD250R said and it will help. But, they may still need some force. Be sure to clean the bore in the swing arm where they go with sandpaper. Drive them in using a driver or socket that will barely fit in the bore.
