I raced a 400 ex with Big Gun exhaust, jetted, and rev kit, several times. It was a tie.
I beat my stock 400 ex by a few lengths.
I raced a Suzuki 250 2 stroke quad. I beat him by one length.
I raced a YZ 250. It was even to about 30 mph then he beat me.

YOU HAVE BOUGHT THE WRONG MACHINE SPORTY WAIT UNTIL YOUR IN YOUR FORTYS AND YOULL START ENJOYING A MACHINE LIKE THAT INSTEAD OF TEARING IT UP LATER........ AND GOOD LUCK.....

Geez! What is that all about? I am 26 and when I get my 650 next spring I'd enjoy lining it up with a 400 ex and racing him. What's wrong with that? The guy didn't say he was out hitting triple jumps, even if he was, to each his own. Besides age is just number and lifes an atitude so what does 40 or 22 have to do with anything? I'll agree that people put too much emphasis on the speed/acceleration of these new big 4X4's, but it's no reason to get mad

The new Kawi twin is well suited to drag race,in fact,it takes jumps pretty well to.Im 44 and have a 2 stroke 4x4 400cc Xplorer, and I LOVE to drag race other Utility 4x4s.Age has nothing to do with it.Regardless of your age or the ATV you ride,if you wanna run me?

jefffoxsr, just ignore 99mojave. I too like to do the occasional drag race. I can't wait to line up my 650 against my buddies atc250r or my lt250r. It should be interesting.

I raced mine against a 2001 model Suzuki on the pavement on Labor Day. I was ahead of him for about 4 feet and then I almost turned over from the suction as he blew by me. We were just racing for the fun of it. I was in 4WD and he only had a single chain drive. I think he said his machine was a Huyabusa or something like that. He also weighs about 30 lbs. less than me, that must have been it! I don't think that racing the so-called "sportiest" Util Quad is all that weird. I have seen people racing turtles with toy army guys taped to their shells and they were not kids(the people, not the turtles), now that is strange......

You are wasting your time with these little lessons of life I think. Folks are going to do what they want to despite. You can bet your sweet *** that I would be racing things as well win or lose if the situation came up. Its a guy thing.
