I had a brief ride on a 650 at a dealer yesturday I think it's everything I want in my next Quad but I would like some comments from people who already own one about handling and problems they have had (the one I rode had the rear end clunking). I currently have a Sportsman 400 and a Rancher ES and never have owned a Kawaski, thanks for your comments.

I own one and this was my first new Kawasaki. It's awesome. The rear end clunk sound seems to be common with all/most of the 650's and as far as I know no one has had a problem associated with the noise. I haven't had any problems what so ever with mine.

This is my first Kawasaki and I really don't have no complaints with it. The 650 is the baddest four wheeler I have ever owned its fast great in deep water! I have been in water over the front head lights many times and have never slipped the belt or have the beast sputter the 4 wheel drive is good too the only complaint I do have there is some times it takes a while to engage in to 4 wheel drive. But other than that I would recommend this four wheeler to any one. the only problems I have had with mine is had to take it back to the dealer to get the low range selector adjusted and an oil sensor seal was leaking the dealer fixed it and haven't had nothing else go wrong with it so far.

This is my first kawi i have owned all the others , i bought it being a little leary but after owning, maintaining and riding the heck out of it i dont have any complaints. When you look deep into kawasakis history they are known for a lot of engineering breakthroughs.I believe the clunking rear end is really some part of the trany that has some lash in it i have shaken a few other 650 new on the showroom floor and i can still get the same sound so im writing it off. had some belt squelling like it got wet and smelt a little burnt rubber but felt no slip.this was after a half hour of ridding in water above the floorboards. The only mistake i made was not buying it sooner and not ridding it every day. go get one you wont be sorry.

I grew up on Yamaha's and this is my first Kawasaki and I couldn't be happier!!!! In fact I owned a 2002 Yamaha 660. My buddy had a Kaw 650 and after riding them both of them I went to the Kaw dealer and traded the Yamaha in for a Kaw. After 45 hours or 375 miles I don't have any major complaints except that everyone wants to ride it!
