My dealer got a bunch in this week. Your dealer should have them soon.

My Dealer just happened to have an extra hitch left over from overstock, however the winch mount is taking a while to get in. I've seen one of those winch mounts and it does not look like it would be very difficult to reproduce. I'm almost tempted to have one made!

I talked to the dealer this AM and he told me that the brackets are "supposed to be here around the end of the month" I guess I'll start holding my breath now...

CaptNemo, I don't know what your dealer's problem is, but if you need a hitch right away, can't you get him to order one from another dealer if he can't get one from Kawasaki? Its too bad that there is such a problem in the States. They come with the ATV here in Canada. It must be something to do with marketing. I know we can also get a blue Raptor or Grizzly that are not offered there. Crazy, eh?

Bought 650 on Sept 6th. Paid for hitch and it was shipped to my home on Sept 26th. Can't find mobil fluid 424 anywhere. Dealers says it only comes in 55 gal drums.

Man I'm glad I didn't have any problems with my stuff coming in. I ordered a Warn 2500 winch. It and the mounting plate were in within a week. I also ordered a hitch, I waited two weeks and it still didn't come in. So I cancelled it and got phones numbers off the internet of different dealers and drove two hrs. one way to get it, then to only have my quad sit for two days not being able to find Mobil 424. I spent two days on the phone, with a million different people from Kawasaki's customer service to dealers to distributors to Mobil themselves to stores. No one in my area carried it. Then I called my local Growers Co-op which is a farm implement store and they cross referenced it to a hydraulic oil called Product 75 which they carried. It was 15.00 for a five gallon container. Its a fluid for wet brake systems. Then I called kaw. cust. service again for the hundredth time and told the rep and they said they would note that I had used it and it was ok for my warranty sake since I had went through all the trouble that I did.

Allright now, it's 31 October and still no hitch bracket...
The dealer told me to call back at the end of the week ( It'll be a full moon Thursday, if that helps )
I hope that this isn't an indication of what parts availability is going to be for this quad. This bracket has been on order for over three months now, I hope that "important" parts aren't going to be this difficult to come by.

It really is strange! I have heard stories of buyers not getting the hitch or the black plastic panels on the front and rear racks, that they even have to pay extra $ for them over the purchase price. In my area, the hitch and panels come with the atv, installed, at the time of sale.

I got my hitch the other day. My dealer said it was from Cycle Country. It's made out of 1/4" steel and comes in three pieces. One for each side of the swing arm and the hitch (a plate to connect between the two). I guess this design is easier to put on because your only unbolting one side of the axle at once and you don't even have to take out all the bolts or replace the fluid. I haven't pulled anything with it yet but it feels good and sturdy. Oh yeah, it cost me 25 bucks plus tax.
